The Fuse Location

When you are stripping wire if the wire is slipping to the side it is normally not at the correct angle. We have a great setup video to stop the slipping of wire and you can find it by clicking this link.
Maintenance
To ensure smooth operation of your StripMeister E250 we recommend a maintenance of the following:
Make sure the machine is unplugged before performing any maintenance
1. Check oil level on the gear box monthly.
Before checking the oil, make sure the gear box is not hot. If oil is visible when the screw is removed from Oil filler hole on the gear box, the unit is still full. If not visible top up with manufacturers recommended gear oil (ISO VG320 or Petro of China CN320) until full.
For gear oil visit website:
http://www.pdblowers.com/pr91-roots-synthetic-lubricant-iso-vg-320-quart.php
2. Inspect blade for damage
3. Inspect and clean Feeder Drive of dirt and debris
4. Inspect whole machine for any loose parts
All of our machines come ready to use out of the box. Unpack your StripMeister and plug it in and begin stripping.
We only use one type of grease on our StripMeister machines and the grease can be found at any local hardware store. The type of grease we use is a general purpose white grease that is low odor, non staining, NLGI grade 2 grease.
We recommend using the provided hardware to fasten your StripMeister to a work bench or table.
Cat 5, Cat 5 and telephone wire are normally 22 and 20 gauge wire making it too small for the StripMeister E250 to strip. The smallest wire size the StripMeister E250 can do is #18 gauge wire.
The StripMeister E250 blade is CNC machined.
The StripMeister E250’s blade is made from heat treated and hardened tool steel for unbeatable quality.
With free shipping, we utilize a network of carriers to get your StripMeister the quickest to your location. You should receive your StripMeister E250 within 5 to 7 business days.
The StripMeister E250 can run on 220 Volts without any other needed configuration from StripMeister. Because the plug is regularly different for 220 volts you will need an adapter for the StripMeister.
The StripMeister E250 runs off any standard 110/120V household outlet.

So far so good. It arrived with a broken speed adjustment knob…broken pieces were in the bottom of the box so I know it happened in shipment(Thanks UPS!!!). But I called immediately and a knew knob is on the way. Takes a little getting used too. When you get a lot of the exact same wire you can blow through it!!!! I happen to get a lot of old appliances..Dryers and Ranges with 3 and 4 wire pigtails. The 3 wire pigs need to be split 3 ways(by hand) and it take a few passes in the stripper to get them just right. Anything above #14 is a real challenge. I am going to wait until I have 2 or 3 trash cans full, then work on it. But I am very happy overall. Reason I did not give a 5 rating…..waiting to see how it holds up.

Recieved my unit and put it to work immediately. I’m very pleased so far. I stripped 100 pounds on first run. Very easy to use and worth every penny.

The E250 is an amazing little machine. My son and I have stripped several hundred pounds of copper wire of all sizes in the first week. It’s as good as advertised and well worth the price!

Bought the E250 and ran the following through for this review:
12 solid
10 solid
10 stranded
8 stranded
4/0
When going from either kinds and sizes of the 10/12 it does it easily. One turn or so usually is enough if you are running both sizes at one time. Occasionally it will feed through perfectly but misses the cutting wheel so if you are making a pile before stripping the insulation check it before tossing it. (maybe 10% of the time but stabbing in correctly and straight fixes it. User error)
When doing the 8/6 awg wires the pressure to cut through the THHN usually cut/crushed the strands so the wire falls apart when unsheathing. Run a short piece through increasing cut depth to get it right.
The 4/0 gave me problems in finding the right depth for the cutting wheel, usually I’d see copper but the insulation between the strands would hold the jacket on and sometimes break. Run a short piece through increasing pressure. I suspect that the “bite” of the driven feeder shaft is not fine enough for wire 8 awg and up as the insulation compresses, I think a finer bite would help as there were no problems like this with 10/12 awg.

Should have purchase this machine a long time ago but I am glad we got it now . It’s absolutely doing a great job and it’s so much faster than doing it by hand
