Money well spent here. I did a lot of research and found this to be well worth the money. Don’t waste your money on Amazon wire strippers. I’ve stripped over a mile of wire with this and it cuts the jackets like the first day of use. I even put quite a bit of 450 mcm through it and it was an amazing clean cut.

I have had the original Stripmeister, the one thats drill powered, for several years. It’s been a solid stripper for me, but I recently upgraded to the E250. The difference is huge. The feed mechanism on the new one is so much better. Once I get it set,I can just keep feeding wire. So much faster.

Where can I check the fuse on the StripMeister E250?

To check the fuse on the StripMeister E250 follow these 4 easy steps:

  1. Unplug the StripMeister E250
  2. Remove the drive cover
  3. Remove the 4 M3 screws 
  4. Lift the cover carefully up and on the back side is the fuse

If the fuse needs to be replaced:

To replace the StripMeister E250 fuse you will need a T8A Ceramic Cylinder, Time-Lag, 250VAC/UL/CSA, 5x20mm Fuse (Allied Electronic #70160407). You can find the fuse by clicking this link.

How to stop the wire from slipping to the side when stripping?

When you are stripping wire if the wire is slipping to the side it is normally not at the correct angle.  We have a great setup video to stop the slipping of wire and you can find it by clicking this link.  

What type of maintenance is required on the StripMeister E250?

Maintenance

To ensure smooth operation of your StripMeister E250 we recommend a maintenance of the following:
Make sure the machine is unplugged before performing any maintenance

1. Check oil level on the gear box monthly.
Before checking the oil, make sure the gear box is not hot. If oil is visible when the screw is removed from Oil filler hole on the gear box, the unit is still full. If not visible top up with manufacturers recommended gear oil (ISO VG320 or Petro of China CN320) until full.

I recently bought the StripMeister E250 model and was wondering if it came with gear oil already in it or if I had to buy my own before I could use it?

All of our machines come ready to use out of the box. Unpack your StripMeister and plug it in and begin stripping.

What type of grease should I use on my StripMeister E250?

We only use one type of grease on our StripMeister machines and the grease can be found at any local hardware store.  The type of grease we use is a general purpose white grease that is low odor, non staining, NLGI grade 2 grease.

What is the most recommend way to secure the device to strip wire?

We recommend using the provided hardware to fasten your StripMeister to a work bench or table.

Can the StripMeister E250 strip Cat 5, Cat 6 or telephone wire?

Cat 5, Cat 5 and telephone wire are normally 22 and 20 gauge wire making it too small for the StripMeister E250 to strip. The smallest wire size the StripMeister E250 can do is #18 gauge wire.

How is the StripMeister E250 blade manufactured?

The StripMeister E250 blade is CNC machined.

What is the StripMeister E250 blade made of?

The StripMeister E250’s blade is made from heat treated and hardened tool steel for unbeatable quality.

How long will it take to receive my StripMeister E250?

Can the StripMeister E250 run on 220 Volts?

The StripMeister E250 can run on 220 Volts without any other needed configuration from StripMeister. Because the plug is regularly different for 220 volts you will need an adapter for the StripMeister.

What voltage does the StripMeister E250 run off of?

The StripMeister E250 runs off any standard 110/120V household outlet.

    The stripper is one of the best product I’ve ever brought it is well made and it looks like it will last a long time you will make your money back. It took me about 30 minutes to go through 15 lb of copper wire I’m very very pleased with this stripper

    Second night I had the machine I stripped #6 wire at a rate of 1750 foot in about 25 minutes, and that was going easy on the machine. Will be ordering another one but going with the larger model so I can have two machines running different size wire at the same time. You will be very happy with this machine.

    i purchased the 250 and it works really well with the exception that unlike the bigger 1000 it doesn’t have a guide on the back side of the feeder to prevent the wire from going around the feeder. It requires someone to be fast and ready to catch the wire before it goes around and jams up the feeder

    I seen your machine when I first started looking to buy one , but I found cheaper one on Black Friday and bought it . Tracking sucked didn’t get it the first 3 times they told me. Then when I got it the drive wheel didn’t have nothing for traction to pull wire through machine ,so packed it up and sent it back. Ordered yours and constant emails and tracking was spot on . My Christmas present came on time. Smooth and quiet. Thanks a lot for good work ethics and craftsmanship.
